In this course, I take you through the entire process of making a 8 different hand bound journals. The course includes real time, step-by-step project videos and printable project guides and templates. It's great for anyone who wants to learn how to make handmade books and it offers tips and tricks that will be invaluable to those just starting out with bookbinding.

In each project, I show you how to construct of the finished book, from the preparation of the fill paper and decorative binding stitches to the embellishments and protective surface finishes. You will be amazed at the way everything comes together in the end, with custom art and design details that ensure each of your books and journals will be a one-of-a-kind work of art.

I selected art techniques that not only work perfectly for book cover art, but that are simple enough that even beginners can produce impressive results. SUPPLIES

You can make a soft cover book structure for every project covered in this course with a few basic supplies. Of course you'll need your fill paper, thread, and decorative cardstock (for your covers). And for tools you can get by with a needle tool (or even a thumbtack or nail), a pencil, a ruler and a pair of scissors, and a needle. That's basically it!

If you want to make the hard cover versions, you'll need cardboard or chipboard as well as a metal straight edge, cutting mat and utility blade, plus an awl and/or large hole punch.
